Asset Protection Manager

As an Asset Protection Manager, you’ll help protect our stores while gaining hands-on experience in investigations, loss prevention, and operations across approximately 5 to 8 locations. You’ll work closely with store leaders and law enforcement, strengthen your problem-solving skills, and see the impact of your work.

This role offers the opportunity to build on your supermarket or comparable experience and develop specialized skills in Asset Protection. Responsibilities include apprehending shoplifters, conducting internal theft and fraud investigations, monitoring shrink reduction controls, and identifying Organized Retail Crime (ORC) activity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee Asset Protection responsibilities for approximately 5 to 8 stores within the assigned area.
• Maintain ongoing communication with store management teams to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Apprehend shoplifters and complete supporting documentation, as necessary, in assigned stores.
• Conduct interviews and collect all necessary evidence and documentation to prepare complete internal investigations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality throughout investigations.
• Monitor assigned stores for Organized Retail Crime (ORC) activity and elevate concerns to the Asset Protection Investigations Supervisor.
• Monitor and enforce designated controls at assigned stores to reduce shrink.
• Work with store management teams to provide the highest level of Asset Protection service and mitigate risk.
• Represent the organization with law enforcement and at court hearings involving external theft cases.
• Ensure all applicable corporate policies and procedures are followed.
• Assist store operations in ensuring adherence to back door receiving practices.
• Focus on front end operations to reduce exposure to cash and product loss.
• Monitor for possible acts of teammate dishonesty.
• Assist the Zone Shrink Specialist and Store Management with perpetual inventory counts and follow up on losses.
• Regularly verify that physical security standards are followed at the store level.
• Oversee Asset Protection requirements for new store openings within the assigned area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Satisfactory internal performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey information both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrates analytical ability and competence in problem solving.
• Must have a valid driver’s license

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of supermarket or comparable experience.
