SUMMARY
This is an on-site role in either our Buffalo or Schenectady, NY office.
The Systems Analyst - Marketing and Digital is responsible for assessing, defining, and implementing systems that support the company’s digital commerce and marketing initiatives. This role ensures alignment of system capabilities with grocery retail operations, focusing on customer engagement, promotional effectiveness, and streamlined digital experiences. The Analyst works cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, and IT teams to deliver solutions that enhance store and online performance, support loyalty programs, and optimize the omnichannel customer journey.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• System Analysis & Support:
• Evaluate and implement system support needs for digital commerce operations, including e-commerce grocery platforms and promotional systems for digital commerce operations in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Conduct system assessments, define requirements, and analyze processes to recommend improvements.
• Provide subject matter expertise on retail marketing systems, loyalty platforms, and customer engagement tools to support marketing strategies.
• Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
• Gather and translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications.
• Lead business analysis and system definition to support development, configuration, and integration of solutions.
• Define KPIs and performance metrics to measure effectiveness of digital initiatives.
• Project Management:
• Develop and manage project plans for system implementations, enhancements, and changes.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Support application development lifecycle, including solution design, testing, deployment, and acceptance.
• Provide leadership, direction, and performance oversight for internal and external partners and globally distributed teams involved in digital and marketing system delivery.
• Manage and coordinate workstreams across onshore and offshore teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• System Administration & Testing:
• Administer digital applications and platforms, act as a resource for system training and support as well as coordinating with internal QA resources.
• Validate new system releases and updates, ensuring no impact on existing functionality.
• Lead planning and execution of digital feature launches supporting weekly promotions, online ordering, and personalized marketing.
• Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring:
• Analyze system usage and product performance to guide promotion optimization and customer retention strategies. to guide decision-making and prioritization.
• Ensure compliance with service-level agreements and maintain high standards of system performance.
• Other Duties:
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Maintenance and tracking of IT budgets for Digital and invoicing
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven project management experience
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
• Demonstrated success in collaborative team environments
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- 7+ years of digital/marketing experience
- 5+ years of business analyst role
