SUMMARY

 

The Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with the Marketing & Promotional Strategy team in developing innovative marketing plans to drive desired business results for both Price Chopper-Market 32 and Tops Markets operating companies (OpCos).  In coordination with a variety of internal clients, outside agencies, and trade partners, they will utilize their outstanding organizational skills to assist with implementing successful shopper marketing programs that fulfill OpCo and trade partner objectives.  Additionally, they will lead efforts to grow non-traditional revenue through third-party in-store marketing programs and services.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Brainstorm new and creative marketing themes with the marketing strategy team; assist with developing, maintaining and ensuring successful implementation of planning calendars
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of shopper marketing activities; collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate trade partner reimbursements
  • Manage third-party vendors for revenue generating in-store marketing and other store services, while continuously exploring and recommending new, non-traditional revenue opportunities
  • Lead content management for in-store digital displays, in-store radio and other content planning, as assigned
  • Manage the prize fulfillment process for all promotions and sweepstakes
  • Facilitate marketing department communications to Operations
  • Monitor and share insights on industry activity to inspire new promotions and marketing initiatives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly organized and successful at managing multiple projects and shifting priorities
  • Creative and driven to develop fresh, innovative ideas that break from the status quo to achieve business objectives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Curious and eager to learn, with a self-starter mindset that works well independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience using data and strong analytical skills to inform content creation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or analytics, Masters preferred.
  • 1-3 years of marketing, retail, or related business experience preferred.
