SUMMARY

The Health & Wellness Advisor is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by providing personalized nutrition guidance, product education, and wellness solutions. This role blends nutrition coaching, retail sales, and customer engagement to support customers in achieving their health, fitness, and lifestyle goals.  The Health & Wellness Advisor will serve as a trusted resource within the store, helping customers navigate supplements, nutrition products, and wellness strategies in a welcoming, knowledgeable, and results-oriented environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Engagement & Coaching
•    Provide one-on-one guidance to customers on nutrition, supplementation, and general wellness goals 
•    Ask thoughtful questions to understand customer needs (weight loss, muscle gain, performance, general health) 
•    Deliver clear, practical recommendations tailored to each individual 
•    Reinforce recommended nutrition plans through complementary grocery product suggestions
•    Conduct body composition analyses using in-store equipment to establish baselines and track customer progress
•    Refer customers to pharmacy or healthcare professionals when appropriate
•    Build relationships that drive repeat visits and long-term loyalty

Sales & Product Expertise
•    Educate customers on supplements, vitamins, protein products, and wellness solutions 
•    Stay current on product knowledge, ingredients, and industry trends 
•    Make confident recommendations that align with customer goals 
•    Meet or exceed sales and performance goals

Store Operations
•    Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked Nutrition and Wellness area 
•    Oversee inventory management, merchandising, and restocking 
•    Ensure product displays are engaging and aligned with promotions 
•    Support in-store events, demos, transformation challenges and wellness initiatives
•    Support Health & Beauty Care (HBC) and/or Pharmacy operations during non-consultation periods

Community & Brand Engagement
•    Represent the brand with energy and professionalism 
•    Assist in promoting wellness programs, challenges, or events 
•    Help build community awareness through in-store interactions and community outreach events

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for health, fitness, and nutrition
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to engage customers and build trust quickly
  • Retail, sales, or customer service experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Ability to obtain Nutrition certification such as International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), or similar

Preferred

  • Nutrition certification such as International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), or similar
  • Experience in a supplement store, gym, or wellness environment
  • Basic understanding of macronutrients, supplementation, and fitness goals
