Pay Rate Starting at: Level $16.00/ hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.

SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Store Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean sales floor through sweeping, mopping, cleaning, and waxing, as well as other maintenance related assignments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding maintenance operations, safety, and sanitation
Ensure safe and clean floor conditions, including sweeping, mopping, and clearing all unsafe conditions
Maintain clean store appearance through emptying garbage cans, cleaning chrome, mirrors, windows, ledges, displays, carpets, restrooms, break room, maintenance, and Meat Dept. equipment (where applicable) according to company sanitation policies
Keep adequate cleaning/waxing supplies (where applicable)
Maintain hand soap/towels in restrooms

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 16 years of age and 18 yrs. of age to perform certain functions/tasks

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
Possess basic computer skills
Possess strong communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

EQUIPMENT USED

Operation of the following:

Baler/Compactor (must be 18 yrs. of age)
Vacuum Cleaner
Pallet Jacks (must be 18 yrs. of age to operate an electric jack)
Shop Vac
Battery Charger (must be 18 yrs. of age)
Floor Scrubber (must be 18 yrs. of age)
Electric/Propane Buffing/Waxing Machines (must be 18 yrs. of age)
