Warehouse Supervisor NIGHTS

SUMMARY

The Perishable Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of perishable warehouse employees, ensure compliance with all company policies, assist in the training of new hires, and ensure all safety, production, sanitation, and quality standards are attained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring quality and On-Time delivery to customer.
• Ensuring compliance of sanitation guidelines by warehouse employees.
• Monitoring employee relations and handle employee issues/problems.
• Assisting with training new hires and other training as needed.
• Overseeing the daily actions of employees including performance management.
• Ensuring all employees are in compliance with safety policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years of age
• Flexible Schedule including weekends

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong Communication Skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Experience in a unionized environment preferred
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in Warehouse supervising at least 10 associates; preferably in the Grocery industry or fast paced, production based environment

EQUIPMENT USED

• Steel Toe Shoes are required
• Heavy Equipment – as dictated by position and location
• Computer
• Other equipment based on environment location

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Constant- standing, walking, driving, carrying, twisting, bending, seeing, hearing, and handling paperwork.  Lifting of objects weighing from less than 20 lbs. to 60 lbs.   
• Frequent- stooping, balancing, and hearing
• Occasional- pushing, sitting, feeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, gripping of items ranging from under 20 lbs. to over 60 lbs.   
• Temperature of Grocery warehouses can range from 50° to 80° Fahrenheit, a Perishable warehouse can range from 28° to 60° Fahrenheit, and a Freezer warehouse can range from -20° to -10° Fahrenheit.
